Gender Partnership Programme — Project Consultant

July 2022 – March 2025

Coordinated workshops and field missions across 12+ countries — including Colombia, Djibouti, Indonesia, Türkiye, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Namibia, the Central African Republic, and Kenya. Trained and supported 500+ parliamentarians, including young parliamentarians, on gender equality and parliamentary governance. Collaborated with parliamentarians and donors (GAC, SIDA) to produce impact reports and ensure programme governance.

Supported the creation of a Women’s Parliamentary Caucus in Namibia. Organised capacity-building workshops in English, French, and Spanish; facilitated connections across parliaments, civil society, and experts to advance gender equality and CEDAW implementation.

Women in Politics — Data Analyst & Conference Support

January 2021 – March 2022

Collected and processed quantitative data on women in governments globally for the 2021 and 2022 Women in Parliament reports. Served as liaison with Members of Parliament in Spanish, English, Portuguese, and French. Provided logistical and technical support for international IPU conferences and multilateral events.

Capstone research project on the socioeconomic conditions of recyclers in Leticia, Colombia, and plastic contamination near the Amazon River. Created bilingual (ES/EN) blueprint questionnaires with KPIs for baseline community surveys.

Research Intern — Monitoring Unit

June – September 2019 · Washington, D.C.

Worked with the Director of the Monitoring Unit on Rapporteurships covering Rights of Indigenous Peoples, Women, Afro-Descendants, and Persons with Disabilities. Monitored the human rights situation in Venezuela and Colombia.

Founder of GESIN (Study Group of the Inter-American System of Human Rights), facilitating exchanges among OAS members with IACHR Commissioners on migration, gender equality, and rights of the child. Co-authored sections of the thematic report on Violence and Discrimination Against Women and Girls in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Led a team of 14 consultants in a competitive case study (won). Presented findings and recommendations on improving workers’ lives in the global garment industry. Research focus: NGO roles in supply chain governance, gender-based violence initiatives, and corporate responsibility.

Produced research, creative writing, and scripts in English and Spanish for UNESCO’s social media platforms. Managed Unite4Heritage’s Instagram and Twitter accounts. Founded and directs EL ORO MUN, the first and largest Model United Nations in El Oro province, Ecuador — an educational platform impacting ~200 students annually. Leads a 35+ volunteer staff, directs 8+ committees in Spanish and English, and manages institutional collaborations with universities, WFUNA, and local authorities.
